Journal Article 2018 12 13 The depletion of the Islamic architectural structure of meaning will lead to the destruction of the nature of Islamic architecture. The space that this architecture is designed, in addition to using the elements and materials at its best, from all that is capable of conforming to the Islamic semantics and deep meaning, it uses some elements that carry the mystical concepts in the architectural arena. Water and mirror have a long history with Islamic architecture. Is it possible to indicate the water and the mirror in terms of the presence of Islamic architecture and the spaces used? Water as the noblest blessing the God has given to human beings, in addition to the cooling effect and the freshness of the Islamic architecture space, get the litter of deep mystical meanings and take the same share with the mirror in the reflection of patterns and images. The mirror is like water is used inside construction only for reflect images and patterns. The concept of mirror in Islamic mysticism has been raised very extensive and method of using that in Islamic architecture and the meanings that this kind of function takes is very deep and contemplative. In this investigation we trying to pose and explained the wisdom of usage water and mirror in architecture. تهی کردن کالبد معماری اسلامی از معنا، به مسخ ماهیت معماری اسلامی منجر خواهد شد. فضایی که این معماری طراحی می­کند، علاوه بر استفاده از عناصر و مواد در بهترین حالت کاربری خود، از هرآن­چه که قابلیت انطباق با معانی رمزی و عمیق اسلامی دارد، به نحوی بهره می­‌برد که این عناصر حامل مفاهیم عرفانی در کالبد معماری آید. آب و آینه با معماری اسلامی همراهی دیرین دارد. آیا آب و آینه را با توجه به نحوۀ حضور در معماری اسلامی و فضاهایی که از آن­ها بهره برده شده است، می­‌توان نشان از مفاهیم اسلامی دانست؟ آب به عنوان شریف‌­ترین نعمتی که خداوند سبحان به انسان ارزانی کرده است، علاوه بر نقش خنک­‌‌کنندگی و ایجاد طراوت در فضای معماری اسلامی، محمل معانی عمیق عرفانی می­‌گردد و با آینه در ویژگی انعکاس نقوش و تصاویر  اشتراک می­‌یابد. آینه نیز همچون آبی است که در درون بنا به کار می‌­رود که تنها نقش آن انعکاس تصاویر و نقوش است. مفهوم آینه در عرفان اسلامی بسیار پردامنه طرح گردیده و نحوه به­‌کارگیری آن در معماری اسلامی و معانی که این نوع کاربرد بر دوش می‌­کشد نیز بسیار عمیق و قابل تأمل است. در این پژوهش، سعی بر این است تا حکمت کاربرد آب و آیینه در معماری طرح و تبیین شود. https://ami.journals.hozehkh.com/article_102_4c6e0472786474a98b8a3f62eb980a33.pdf
